Sometimes trying new things are scary. I am here to say DO IT. We wanted to try something we hadn't had before. No way was I going to let capers stop me and now I'm glad I didn't. The deviled eggs. My lordy!! Just go ahead and order two orders to start. You won't want to share!

We were visiting Charleston this past weekend and went here our first night. It was recommended by the bartender at our hotel and some guests. They highly recommended it and they were 100% right. We sat at the end of the bar and Whitney was our bartender. She did an amazing job. We met some great people and ended up staying much longer than we planned. It was such a fun night! The food was so delicious and the drinks were so creative! My husband loved the Warthog! We loved it so much we came back for cocktails early Sunday evening. Nick and Andy were behind the bar and they were equally amazing! We found everyone to be extremely friendly and hospitable! The atmosphere was great and they had music! We will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends that visit Charleston. Highly recommend.

Stopped by for drinks b4 dinner at another location. Very happy with the beers & baba ganoush appetiser was amazingly delicious . Great place to hang out and the outdoor at the back of the bar was very pleasant.

I went here for a quick dinner at the bar. The service was fast, attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. I had the smoked beef tartare with homemade salt and vinegar chips and shrimp and grits and loved them both. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and enjoyed the live music. Highly recommend!

Our server Braylon was amazing! He was attentive, kind, and took care of our big group. The food was yummy and fresh. It’s a great spot for a quick bite or a full meal. :)

S U P E R B Dinner & Service We walked into Prohibition on King Street in Charleston on a crisp fall Saturday night without a reservation and were able to be seated in the rear bar area at a high top table. We we lucky as the restaurant and three bars quickly filled up with a fun crowd. We were in the middle bar (walk-up bar service and ordering only) which worked out great with the very friendly professional bar tenders. We ordered some craft beers, a great Parmesan Caesar salad, and the highlight was the manager recommended Swordfish Saltimbocca (WOW delicious). The Swordfish steak was quite large and we split the entree. The hot flavorful seafood entree came with crispy Prosciutto, sage, spinach, and roasted buttermilk puree. It was so flavorful and delicious I told the manager I could have ordered another serving! Compliments to the numerous managers on duty ensuring the guests were happy, as well as the bartenders, and serving staff. Workers obviously like working at Prohibition. We will definitely return next Charleston visit. Cheers.

If you’re in town, ask for Sydney as your waitress. She was so helpful with drink and food recommendations. Very attentive and made sure the night was perfect for us. The spicy margarita and old fashion were phenomenal. The bar made two custom drinks for us - tequila espresso martini and blackberry smash that were incredible. The fried chicken wedge salad was the best fried chicken we have ever had. You can’t miss out on Sydney’s service and the food here!

Popped in here for a quick happy hour. They have a really good selection of Bourbons and happy hour menu. The bartender with the glitter glam :) it was very kind and accommodating for my husband celiac allergy. She brought me their cheat sheet for allergies, and even cut up some fresh cucumbers for us to eat with our dip. She definitely went above and beyond to ensure that he was able to enjoy some of the things I ordered. I’ve only been here during the daytime but I’ve seen it get packed during the evenings. Overall good vibes and friendly staff at the bar. The chicken wings are delicious and my go to on the HH menu! Brussels were also crispy and tasty with the chili sauce. Reasonable prices for everything we had.

Went here for dinner on a Batchelorette party and we loved it! Great drinks, variety of food options. We all loved the deviled eggs, shrimp and grits, bone marrow, and I got the chicken pate which was great. Girls I was with didn't love the salad. We had a group of 14 and sat at a high top table. Atmosphere was great. Girls who got there earlier got a drink at the back bar.

Prohibition was one of our favorite dining experiences in Charleston. The vintage speakeasy atmosphere was lively, stylish, and full of character. The service was above average and our server was the BEST in every way! The food was outstanding. The deviled eggs were a delicious and elevated take on a Southern classic, the wings were some of the best we’ve had, and the crispy Brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I also loved The Warthog gin cocktail! the spiced pear, honey, lemon, and fragrant torched rosemary sprig made it both beautiful and memorable. A wonderfully fun Charleston experience with exceptional small plates and creative cocktails. We would absolutely return.
